Every Wednesday our cell phone rings and a sweet voice asks, "Mrs. Terry, could you and Mr. Terry please join us for English Corner tonight?" We usually say "yes." The Communist Youth League organizes a forum every Wednesday night after classes (starts at 9 p.m. and goes til 10:30 p.m.!)where students can come and speak to each other in English. They love it if a foreign teacher will be there to chat with the group. These kids that run the forum are sponsored by the campus Communist Youth League and they are real jewels. Such sharp kids (most of them only freshmen) who work so hard to organize these weekly sessions. They're so gracious and kind to us; even walking us to our dorm after the event is over.

COMMUNISM AND COMMUNISTS
I've got pretty strong feelings about Communism and they've probably intensified since living in China. But my, have I ever fallen in love with lots of Communists!
